Abbiamo ricostruito il percorso del Sole con un planetario software.
La rotazione della sfera celeste è un’apparenza: da tempo sappiamo che in realtà è la terra a ruotare sul proprio asse
compiendo un giro in poco meno di 24 ore.
La rotazione della terra è il movimento che ci fa vedere il Sole sorgere a est, raggiungere il punto più alto a sud (a mezzogiorno) e scomparire a ovest, per far compiere poi lo stesso percorso alla volta stellata.
La rivoluzione, il movimento con cui la terra gira attorno al Sole, dura un anno.
A causa dell‘inclinazione dell’asse terrestre, l‘effetto sui percorsi del Sole è che, dal solstizio invernale il Sole passa ogni giorno un po’ più alto, fino a raggiungere il solstizio estivo, per poi cominciare a scendere e così via.
Abbiamo utilizzato Stellarium, un planetario software Open Source gratuito, permette di simulare un’accelerazione del tempo rendendo così la più evidente la rotazione ma anche la rivoluzione terrestre.[:en]
